So in my job at Sierra Oaks, I have met some amazing people...particularly amazing women! Until I took this job, I kind of had a negative idea of what aging could hold. I was worried about becoming stagnant and ill. After a hard and blessed year of caring for my inlaws during their terminal illnesses...I gotta confess, I entertained some disturbing thoughts...even though caring for and being with them in the end was such a blessing in my life. I am thankful for that time! But with God being who he is, I believe at this time he is showing me the other side of what can be. There are two women here...actually four that truly inspire me and give me hope for my senior years. Terri McMeen, Connie Irwin, Ethyl Frantz and Jeanie Duke. I want to talk right now about Terri and Connie. They decided that they were gonna take a Road Trip this summer and drive from Tollhouse to Minnesota for Terri's Niece's wedding. I think this is amazing and let me tell you they are blessing and loving people from here to there! I admire thier spunk and courage...so many people are afraid to even take a step! These women are not...they just run into things with a full confidence and trust that comes from being daughter's of the most High! I love it! I am going to attach their trip blog...check it out and be as blessed as I am every day!
Now as for the two left here...Jeanie and Ethyl! Jeanie is amazingly strong and determined! frankly she puts up with stuff that I would have quit a long time ago. I admire her strength and LOVE to be in her presence! That strength inspires me to pull through. Ethyl walks in JOY all the time...even in times of heartbreak. Her heart is always leaping with LOVE! She blesses people all day everyday! I love her smile and presence. I wait for her to come around!
